Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history and recommend tailored treatment approaches.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and long-term wellness for each patient.

• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to effectively address trauma-related issues.

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma experiences and develop coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, enhancing treatment efficacy.

• Offering crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies to safeguard client well-being.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about the nature of trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team collaborations, and ongoing professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care practices.

• Staying updated with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance therapy effectiveness.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working in mental health counseling, preferably focused on trauma-informed care.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Proficient in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Able to maintain composure and professionalism during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in remote counseling practice, familiarization with telehealth platforms, and a background in community mental health settings will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
