Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of working remotely, which enables you to manage your work-life balance while remaining responsive to the needs of your patients. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate varying patient needs. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals who share a common goal—improving the mental health and overall well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that evaluate each patient’s trauma history, determining the most suitable therapeutic interventions.

• Develop customized treatment plans with a primary focus on facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to provide effective clinical interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, aiding patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and supporting their healing journey.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs.

• Provide crisis interventions during emergencies and support patients in navigating trauma-related challenges.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and available resources, empowering them with knowledge and tools for resilience.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient data management.

• Participate in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities that focus on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and methodologies in trauma therapy to continually improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals affected by trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your approach will emphasize empathy and understanding, targeting the individual needs of each patient to promote healing and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey is essential.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed care principles, and resilience-building interventions is critical.

• Proficiency in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that promote healing and recovery.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards patients.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications is important.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
