Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, addressing individual complexities and dynamics.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create and implement tailored treatment plans that correspond to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment and interventions.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing guidance on treatment options and essential self-care practices to promote wellness.

• Monitor client progress throughout therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other team members to provide a unified approach to client care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the treatment of mood disorders to incorporate evidence-based practices into your therapeutic approach.

• Maintain diligent and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with professional and legal standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to an environment of continuous professional development and best practice sharing.

• Advocate for clients by promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and ensuring that their voices are heard in treatment planning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. These clients come from various backgrounds and may present complex challenges that require a thoughtful and nuanced approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to enhance client care.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with a strong dedication to client advocacy and wellbeing.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
