Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our expansive 5,000 square feet rehabilitation center, which is designed to facilitate effective treatment and rehabilitation. The work environment is highly collaborative, featuring a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who share a common commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Our clinic primarily serves a diverse patient population with private medical insurance, ensuring you will have the resources necessary to provide comprehensive treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' goals, and collaborate with them to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving their mobility and overall quality of life.
• Maintain a patient schedule that ensures optimal care, typically handling one patient per hour to allow for dedicated, individualized attention.
• Deliver cost-effective treatment solutions that prioritize movement enhancement, minimizing reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical alternatives whenever possible.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's specific needs and condition.
• Provide motivation and education to patients, encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation journey to foster optimal outcomes.
• Monitor the effectiveness of treatment strategies and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring clear communication with patients regarding their progress.
• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress diligently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT.
• Engage in collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients experiencing injuries or chronic pain. This may include individuals recovering from surgeries, those dealing with sports-related injuries, and patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Each case will provide you the opportunity to apply your skills in a real-world context, ensuring you can make a significant impact on their recovery and function.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no recorded instances of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design and execute effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to efficiently document patient care and access relevant medical records.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of experience in orthopedic outpatient care. Proven experience in improving patient outcomes through innovative treatment approaches will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
