Woodcrest Wellness Oasis is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team as a full-time remote therapist. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering comprehensive, trauma-informed therapeutic services to adult survivors of domestic violence and trauma, helping them navigate their healing journey and rebuild their lives.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements while enabling you to provide therapy to clients from the comfort of your home. Although the role is remote, you will be using an outpatient office setting for client interactions, which involves telehealth technologies and electronic health record systems to maintain comprehensive and organized patient records. The remote format also fosters a dynamic, innovative collaboration with a team committed to client success while providing the tools necessary for effective psychological care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver ongoing, trauma-informed counseling services to adult survivors, taking a strengths-based approach that prioritizes their individual needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify immediate safety concerns for clients who may be at risk for self-harm, suicide, or ongoing domestic violence.

• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, enabling clients to process, cope with, and heal from their traumatic experiences.
\n
• Guide clients in developing coping strategies and skills that align with their identified personal goals for therapy.
\n
• Document all clinical interactions and assessments in compliance with organizational policies using our electronic health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary client base will consist of adult survivors of domestic violence, many of whom may be coping with the impact of complex trauma. This population often faces significant barriers to mental health support, and your role will be pivotal in creating a safe and empathetic environment where individuals can work through their experiences and look toward a healthier future.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and electronic medical records.

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in an outpatient mental health setting.
\n
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage client caseloads.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working with trauma-exposed populations or within settings focused on crisis intervention is highly desirable. Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
