Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including severity, frequency, and duration, and utilizing validated assessment tools to inform diagnosis.

• Collaborating actively with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that are agile and adaptable, aligning with their unique goals and preferences.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate healing and progress in clients.

• Providing education to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to empower and equip them for recovery.

• Monitoring clients’ progress rigorously throughout the therapeutic process, adjusting treatment plans in response to their evolving needs and feedback.

• Working alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to each client’s care.

• Staying informed of current research and advancements in mental health treatment, particularly concerning mood disorders, to enhance your therapeutic approach and efficacy.

• Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Engaging in collaborative case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to refine clinical skills and remain abreast of best practices.

• Actively advocating for clients in promoting the de-stigmatization of mental health issues and contributing to broader community awareness initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will specifically focus on individuals grappling with a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will work alongside a diverse clientele, which may include children, adolescents, and adults, each requiring a tailored therapeutic approach to address their unique circumstances and life experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Maryland.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for mood disorders, with proficiency in CBT and DBT essential for the role.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrist colleagues, ensuring integrated care for clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
