Work Environment

This position is conducted onsite at a school facility in Manlius, New York, enabling you to engage directly with an active patient population in a familiar environment. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality care in accordance with national and community standards.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, interpret data reflective of patients' needs, and develop care plans that cater to age-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with office staff to optimize office efficiency and effectiveness.
• Liaise between practice management and hospital administration, ensuring a strong connection and shared goals.
• Champion regulatory compliance, proactively adapting to evolving healthcare regulations.
• Demonstrate leadership by modeling best practices in patient management and fostering a patient-centered approach.
• Maintain detailed and timely patient care records, ensuring documentation is comprehensive and legible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, you will work with a diverse patient population, addressing various health concerns and conditions. Your expertise will be directed towards ensuring thorough assessments and management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses, fostering health education, and promoting preventive care in the school setting. You will engage with patients of all ages, ensuring that their unique needs are understood and met.

Qualifications

• NYS certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
• AANP Board Certification is required to validate your expertise.
• Possession of a DEA license is mandatory.
• Ability to obtain appropriate privileges at F. F. Thompson Health.
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is highly preferred, enhancing your proficiency in outpatient clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits
