Position Overview

Movement System Physical Therapy & Wellness is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team in beautiful Marco Island, Florida. In this full-time, onsite role, you will work primarily in home care, providing exceptional patient-centered physical therapy services. Your expertise will be vital in assessing patients' movement limitations, designing individualized therapy plans, and guiding them throughout their rehabilitation journey. We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year based on experience.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist working in home care, you'll be visiting patients in the comfort of their homes across the Marco Island area. This unique setting provides a more personal approach to therapy, allowing you to build strong relationships with your patients and witness their progress in real-time. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, with flexibility to accommodate either 8 AM to 4 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM shifts, or four 10-hour days.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mobility and functional needs to identify limitations and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Design and implement structured rehabilitation plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, incorporating both hands-on PT techniques and prescribed exercises.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercise regimens and the importance of adherence to therapy to track progress effectively.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on providing personalized care to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or overcoming injuries. Many of our patients are elderly or have complex medical histories, requiring you to utilize your critical thinking and clinical skills to create safe and effective treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active Florida Physical Therapy License or eligibility for licensure.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on building rapport with patients and their families.
• Strong clinical decision-making abilities, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical or home care setting, demonstrating proficiency in various therapy techniques.
• Experience using EHR systems to document therapy sessions and communicate with other healthcare providers.
