This role will take place onsite, primarily in our urgent care facility located in Lancaster. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to evaluate patient health, ensuring all clinical assessments are precise and well-documented.
• Diagnose a wide range of health conditions, creating tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient needs.
• Order, perform, and interpret essential diagnostic tests, which may include lab draws, imaging studies, and other relevant assessments.
• Implement and oversee treatment guidelines, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care while facilitating necessary referrals to specialists when required.
• Administer medications including vaccinations and therapeutic regimens accurately, monitoring for efficacy and any potential side effects.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously within electronic health record systems, utilizing ICD-9 coding for billing and compliance purposes.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and support staff, to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care efficiently.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing valuable education on health promotion, chronic disease management, and preventative care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve a diverse population, composed of both pediatric and adult patients facing urgent healthcare needs. The role necessitates adaptability in patient interactions, addressing a variety of conditions from minor injuries to more acute medical situations, fostering a family-centered approach to health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field.
• Current nurse practitioner licensure in the state of New York, along with collaborative agreement with supervising physician(s).
• Strong proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health records systems, particularly Cerner, to ensure efficient patient care management.

Preferred Experience

• Clinical exposure in specialty areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, or cardiology.
• Hands-on experience with various medical procedures such as administering botulinum toxin treatments or conducting spinal taps.
• Ability to employ excellent lifting techniques and other physical support methods for patient transfers and care.

Compensation and Benefits
