Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite at our outpatient facility in Middletown. Our environment fosters teamwork and innovation, with a daily schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. This full-time role involves close collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed health histories and comprehensive physical evaluations to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized pain management therapies, utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
• Guide and educate patients on pain management techniques, medications, and adherence to treatment plans.
• Supervise and manage ongoing care for patients with chronic pain, making adjustments to treatment protocols as required.
• Prescribe medications in alignment with treatment plans while ensuring compliance with prescriber safety protocols, such as checking the Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP).
• Engage in collaborative discussions with physicians to determine optimal treatment strategies for each patient's unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily focus on adult patients suffering from chronic pain disorders and acute pain-related conditions. Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in New York State or equivalent licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnostic skills, and developing comprehensive pain management plans.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Nurse Practitioner, particularly in pain management or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits
