Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Middletown, NY. Your typical workweek will consist of 40 hours from Monday to Friday, concluding at 5:00 pm. Our facility features advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, ensuring you have the resources necessary to provide exceptional care. You will work closely with a dynamic team of physicians, nurses, and support staff in a collaborative atmosphere focused on achieving the best patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate health status and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and order diagnostic tests, interpreting results to inform treatment approaches.
• Administer various injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to effectively manage pain symptoms.
• Prescribe medications responsibly while providing clear pain management recommendations tailored to each patient.
• Monitor and document progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans based on patient response and emerging needs.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, health conditions, and treatment plans, fostering adherence and understanding.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and optimize ongoing patient care strategies.
• Promote preventative health practices and oversee patients' overall health within the scope of practice.
• Contribute to a culture of knowledge advancement through ongoing research and professional development efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Pain Management practice serves a diverse patient population experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions. You will provide care to individuals suffering from various health challenges, including musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. As part of the team, your expertise will help patients regain their quality of life, ensuring they receive compassionate, comprehensive care tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and valid New York State Physician Assistant License.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
• Active DEA and NPI numbers.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of health and patient care regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates should possess proven experience working as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, or emergency room setting.
• Specific experience in pain management or related specialties is preferred but not mandatory.
• An extensive background in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, or family health will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
