In this full-time role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing comprehensive medical care for our patients in collaboration with supervising physicians. Your position will encompass direct patient care, patient and family education, and smooth transitions of care.

Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our hospital setting, you will work onsite, engaging with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your working hours will typically be Monday through Friday, encompassing a total of 40 hours per week starting at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patients' medical histories to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests, X-rays, and other imaging studies, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions and illnesses within the scope of family medicine, focusing on evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for chronic and acute health issues, adjusting strategies as necessary based on patient responses.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state laws and monitor patient responses to treatments, adjusting as needed for efficacy and safety.
• Ensure precise and organized maintenance of patient records, utilizing electronic medical record systems for efficient scheduling and documentation.
• Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families about health conditions, preventative measures, and treatment options to empower self-management.
• Oversee the holistic management of patients' overall health, which may include coordination with other healthcare professionals and specialists.
• Champions wellness initiatives by promoting healthy lifestyle practices, preventive care, and regular health screenings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably in family medicine.
• Demonstrated knowledge of health regulations and patient care protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
