Sous Chef – Boutique Resort

Location: Bahamas

Compensation: $40,000 USD net salary, negotiable

We are recruiting for a boutique resort in the Bahamas seeking two experienced Sous Chefs to join their culinary team. These positions will oversee operations across two restaurants , with opportunities available on either the morning or evening shift .

The Role

• Lead culinary operations across two resort restaurants
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
• Lead, motivate and support the culinary team
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and organization
• Help develop menus and dishes that showcase Bahamian flavours
• Support the Executive Chef and wider Food & Beverage team
• Manage either the morning or evening culinary operation

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven Sous Chef or senior culinary experience within a hotel or resort
• Caribbean hospitality experience required
• Boutique hotel or resort experience preferred
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and team leadership
• Experience incorporating Bahamian or Caribbean flavours into menus
• Knowledge of gluten-free and vegan culinary requirements
• Hands-on, organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced resort environment
