Position Details Job Code: JC-523357 Position #: 932-026-6822-925 Title: Assistant Shop Superintendent Classification: HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT SUPERINTENDENT I Salary: $7,129.00 - $8,848.00 Number of Positions: Multiple Location: Fresno County Work Type: 12 Month Limited Term – Full Time Telework Option: In Office Key Responsibilities Assist the Highway Equipment Superintendent II in maintaining a viable shop organizational structure through independent and cooperative workload evaluation. Determine classification, select, and cultivate personnel, and manage procurement practices, use, and storage of material. Maintain general office procedures and practices; perform accurate and timely data entry. When the HES II is absent, independently perform the duties outlined above. Participate in and conduct internal and external meetings; maintain discipline and open communication with all levels of shop personnel. Qualifications Eligibility to be determined by score on the Highway Equipment Superintendent I examination. Current eligibility on the state examination list or ability to obtain list eligibility. Possession of a valid driver’s license required when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle.
