IT Operations Support Specialist

Akkodis is seeking an IT Operations Support Specialist for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will support plant manufacturing operations by providing handson IT infrastructure and application support to ensure reliable production systems.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


IT Operations Support Specialist Job Responsibilities include:

• Provide handson IT operations support for manufacturing applications and infrastructure on the plant floor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to servers, networks, PCs, printers, and mobile devices to support production continuity.
• Support and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments, and Active Directory services.
• Assist with network setup and troubleshooting, including Cisco routers, switches, and cabling.
• Support plant manufacturing execution systems and contribute to process improvement and lean initiatives.
• Collaborate with global IT and plant teams to ensure systems meet productivity, reliability, and operational goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 2-5 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure support, or technical support roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization (vSphere), and Office 365 environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot plantfloor IT systems, networks, and devices while supporting manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
