Work Environment\n

This role takes place in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility and a better work-life balance. Team members can conduct sessions from the comfort of their homes while also having the option to engage in in-person meetings when necessary at our Hospice Center. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing stability and structure for both employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, in-depth assessments for new intake clients to create personalized and effective treatment plans tailored to their mental health needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions and therapy sessions, adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
\n
• Educate and support clients and their families throughout the therapeutic process, helping them understand mental health issues and effective coping strategies.
\n
• Stay updated on current best practices and emerging research in the field of social work and mental health, applying this knowledge to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adult clients dealing with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and grief. As you work within a hospice center, you will also have the opportunity to support clients coping with terminal illnesses and their families, providing crucial emotional support during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• An active LCSW license in the state of California, with a strong understanding of state regulations and practice standards.
\n
• At least two years of clinical experience in social work, particularly in mental health settings.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients and collaborate with team members.
\n
• Ability to utilize technology for teletherapy sessions, record-keeping, and maintaining client data.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a hospice or palliative care setting is highly desirable.

• A background in trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices in therapy is preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telemedicine platforms.

Compensation and Benefits\n
