Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Are you an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety professional looking to make a real impact within a complex manufacturing environment? We're supporting a manufacturing site in New Jersey that is looking to appoint an experienced EHS Manager to lead its Environmental, Health & Safety function. This opportunity would suit someone with a strong background in the GMP industry , although candidates from chemical manufacturing will also be considered. Key Responsibilities Lead the site's Environmental, Health & Safety programme, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Drive a proactive safety culture across the manufacturing facility. Ensure compliance with GMP requirements and support regulatory inspections and audits. Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Manage environmental permits, waste programmes, and sustainability initiatives. Deliver EHS training and coaching across all levels of the business. Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to embed EHS into day-to-day manufacturing activities. Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement across all EHS programmes. Requirements Previous EHS leadership experience within a GMP manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Candidates from chemical manufacturing with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements. Experience supporting manufacturing operations, engineering projects, and regulatory inspections. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
