Golden Age Hospitality is seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join the opening team of an exciting new restaurant concept launching in Fall 2026 in New York City.
We are looking for a culinary leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads by example, and is passionate about building strong kitchen culture. This is an opportunity to join a growing hospitality group and play a key role in bringing a new concept to life from the ground up.
About the RoleThe Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to support all back-of-house operations, maintain high culinary standards, and help build systems that ensure a successful opening and long-term operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who values organization, consistency, mentorship, and exceptional execution.
Responsibilities- Support daily kitchen operations from prep through service
- Maintain consistency in food quality, execution, and presentation
- Assist in training, coaching, and developing kitchen staff
- Help manage prep lists, station readiness, and service flow
- Ensure adherence to sanitation, safety, and DOH standards
- Support inventory management, ordering, and cost controls
- Foster strong communication between BOH and FOH teams
- Lead with professionalism, urgency, and accountability during service
- 3+ years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to grow
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Passion for team development and hospitality
- NYC restaurant experience strongly preferred
