Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the clinical severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and diagnostic criteria.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, adapting therapeutic approaches based on client feedback and progress.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in providing targeted interventions for mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, addressing common misconceptions and exploring effective self-care strategies tailored to their unique circumstances.

• Regularly monitor client progress, making timely adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes and address emerging concerns.

• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.

• Adhere to legal and ethical standards while maintaining precise and confidential documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development activities, adding to your knowledge base and keeping abreast of innovative treatment modalities.

• Advocate for client needs, promoting awareness and de-stigmatization regarding mental health issues, particularly mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues, which affect individuals from all walks of life. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, tailoring your approach to address cultural, social, and personal factors that influence their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, specializing in the treatment of mood disorders is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as CBT and DBT.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology to ensure effective collaboration with psychiatrists.

• Effective communication skills that facilitate rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
