This role is fully remote, allowing you to provide care from anywhere while connecting with patients using secure, modern telehealth technology. As a therapist in this position, you will work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the unique needs, goals, and challenges of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that encompass evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions that empower clients to explore their motivations for change and overcome barriers to recovery.

• Facilitate interactive group therapy sessions aimed at building community support among individuals on similar recovery paths.

• Collaborate closely with a team of psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive, integrated healthcare for our patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during substance-related emergencies to assist patients in critical situations.

• Offer educational resources to patients and their families regarding addiction, recovery methods, and local resources available.

• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all patient interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultation meetings and contribute to team-based care discussions to continuously improve patient outcomes.

• Stay well-informed of current research and advancements in the field of substance use disorder treatment to enhance your practice.

This therapist role primarily focuses on individuals navigating recovery from substance use disorders, which encompasses a wide array of substances. You will work with diverse populations, considering various socio-economic backgrounds and recovery journeys, and you will be integral in customizing therapy strategies that resonate with their unique experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license to practice in California (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist) is necessary for this position.

• Extensive knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for substance use disorders and familiarity with recovery-oriented practices is essential.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions specifically within addiction treatment settings.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep sense of empathy and a non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.

• Ability to adhere to professional boundaries and ethical guidelines while ensuring confidentiality of patient information.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software tools.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
