As a Nurse Practitioner at Empower Her, you will work onsite in our outpatient office, which is equipped with advanced healthcare technology. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial patient assessments, including taking detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations.
• Developing, documenting, and discussing individualized patient care plans, ensuring that each patient is screened and prepared for their specific needs.
• Performing daily rounds to monitor patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Writing orders for medications, laboratory tests, and diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Interpreting laboratory results and imaging findings to inform patient management decisions.
• Collaborating with attending physicians, nurse staff, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Documentation of discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals in patient charts, ensuring clear communication about post-discharge care instructions.
• Engaging in ongoing education and training to stay abreast of the latest developments in women's health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on female patients, addressing a range of health issues including, but not limited to, reproductive health, menopause, chronic diseases prevalent in women, and preventive care. Your expertise will be vital in supporting women through various health challenges, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate medical care.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program, with a focus on women's health preferred.
• National Board Certification in the area of specialization.
• Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Evidence of a collaborative practice agreement or attestation compliant with the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act of 2015.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, those with experience in women’s health, chronic disease management, or specialty care in outpatient settings will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and strong communication skills will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
