Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health, performing both comprehensive and problem-focused physical examinations, along with gathering complete medical histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies to accurately assess patient health problems and therapy effectiveness.
• Prescribe medication and recommend therapeutic treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring adherence to safety and efficacy protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate electronic medical records (EMR) outlining treatment plans, patient progress, and follow-up care, while prioritizing timely referrals when necessary.
• Participate in all phases of perioperative care, including pre-operative consultations, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative patient management within outpatient and inpatient settings.

The Physician Assistant will primarily focus on managing patients dealing with chronic pain and related conditions. Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• Must possess national PA certification and state licensure.
• Exceptional skills in interpreting laboratory data and diagnostic studies.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical software applications.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in pain management, perioperative medicine, or chronic disease management will be given preference. Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches to pain management, including physical therapy and complementary alternatives is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
