Pain Management Physician Assistant | Full-Time Position

Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our modern Surgical Center, equipped with advanced medical technologies and a supportive infrastructure that fosters team collaboration. You will work in a collegial environment with specialists, nurses, and administrative staff dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient care. The center operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance for our team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and treat patients experiencing acute or chronic pain through the application of advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pain management, ensuring that patient preferences and clinical guidelines are integrated.
• Participate in patient discharge planning, working alongside case management to ensure a smooth transition and follow-up care.
• Receive and evaluate referrals from primary care physicians and provide consulting services for inpatient care coordination as required.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of patient encounters and ensure reliable insurance processing by adhering to regulatory requirements and managing any appeals for denied claims.
• Engage in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, applying your expertise to address complex pain management scenarios, including participating in on-call rotations as determined by operational needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population suffering from various pain-related conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, and migraines. Your role will directly influence patient satisfaction and wellbeing, as you help each individual navigate their pain management journey through tailored interventions and empathetic support.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and an active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a pain management or surgical context.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented and performance-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced knowledge and skills in pain management techniques, interventional procedures, and comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Experience in coordinating care within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with specialists to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and insurance processes, particularly concerning pain management services.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 150,000 to USD 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
