Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time, Onsite Role

Work Environment

This role will be onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility in North Tonawanda, where you will collaborate closely with a team of physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. The environment is designed to facilitate comprehensive patient assessments and interventions in a supportive and technologically advanced setting. You'll be working from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while delivering exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with acute and chronic pain, including physical assessments and reviewing patient histories.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies relevant to pain management.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and clinical best practices, including medication management, physical therapy recommendations, and referral to specialists.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive health practices to empower them in their healthcare journey.
• Document all patient interactions and management plans clearly and accurately in our electronic health records system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and share best practices for holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support a diverse adult population experiencing various pain syndromes, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, and chronic pain conditions related to specific diseases. Your ability to assess and manage pain holistically will be vital in improving our patients' quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Physician Assistant licensure in New York State.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in pain management, primary care, or a related specialty.
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• Clinical experience specifically in pain management or relevant specialty areas.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and various reporting systems.
• Experience in patient education and community outreach initiatives related to chronic pain.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with performance bonuses. Additional benefits include:
