Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough evaluations of medical history, physical examinations, and necessary diagnostic tests.
• Formulate and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, addressing each patient's unique pain management needs.
• Perform appropriate procedures and minor surgical interventions, such as joint injections or nerve blocks, under the guidance and supervision of attending physicians.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation of patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care within our electronic health record system.
• Educate patients about their medical conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle changes that can promote pain relief and overall wellness.
• Provide ongoing support to patients, including managing follow-up appointments and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a diverse patient population, including individuals suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, fibromyalgia, and post-operative pain. Your ability to empathize and communicate effectively will be crucial in building trusting relationships with patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant recognized by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or a related specialty, with demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating pain-related conditions.
• Possession of a valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to operate independently within your scope of practice.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
• A commitment to delivering compassionate, informed, and patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting, particularly in a pain management or rehabilitation department.
• Familiarity with managing advanced pain management techniques, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
