Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant focused on pain management, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, which involve reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and executing diagnostic evaluations to identify the underlying causes of pain.
• Collaborating closely with supervising physicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain and improving the overall health of our patients.
• Performing various therapeutic procedures, including injections and minor surgical interventions, under the mentorship of experienced attending physicians.
• Educating patients about their medical conditions, treatment options available, and necessary lifestyle adjustments to promote wellness and prevent recurrence of pain.
• Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation for all patient interactions, including treatment plans and follow-up strategies to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in this role will cater to a diverse patient population dealing with various pain conditions, including acute, chronic, and postoperative pain management. Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• An active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in pain management or a related specialty.
• Strong clinical skills with competency to work independently within the defined scope of practice.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in a hospital setting or with pain management will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various treatment modalities specific to pain management can offer a competitive edge.

Compensation and Benefits

Camp Premier Health Care Clinic offers a competitive salary range between USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
