Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-time Onsite Role

Work Environment

This role is set within a hospital facility located in the scenic Niagara Falls area, known for its stunning natural beauty, vibrant community, and rich cultural offerings. The hospital provides a wide range of services to the community, and as a Physician Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team, directly supporting both patients and medical staff alike. Your workweek will largely consist of regular daytime hours, specifically from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Physician Assistant in our Pain Management department, your core responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient evaluations to assess pain levels, physical function, and medical history.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning process.
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive treatment plans, which may include prescribing non-narcotic medications and physical therapy programs.
• Scheduling and assisting in interventional procedures, ensuring that patients are well-prepared and informed about their care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, categorizing treatments, findings, and follow-up recommendations in accordance with medical regulations.
• Actively engaging with patients to address their concerns, answer questions, and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population suffering from various types of chronic pain, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain management. Your interactions will focus on creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard and valued, while you help them navigate their journeys toward improved health and well-being. Your expertise will contribute to enhanced quality of life for the patients we serve.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a closely related field is required.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York is essential.
• Strong clinical skills, particularly in physical examinations and diagnosing pain-related conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with medical teams, patients, and families.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with at least 3 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting will be preferred. Familiarity with pain management protocols, physical therapy modalities, and a commitment to patient-centered care will elevate your candidacy. Experience in interventional pain management therapies will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
