Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in the Pain Management department, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting focused and comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing pain, including detailed history taking and physical examinations; documenting findings systematically in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to ensure continuity of care.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic laboratory tests and imaging studies while synthesizing the information to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborating closely with the supervising physician to review patient assessments and adjust treatment protocols based on the evolving needs of patients.
• Providing timely and effective follow-up with patients, including completing necessary documentation and responding to patient inquiries for optimal care management.
• Participating in team meetings to discuss patient cases and share insights that contribute to enhancing the overall quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including those related to post-surgical recovery, fibromyalgia, arthritis, and neuromuscular disorders. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
