Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Management, you will be responsible for the following:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations, to create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Assist in performing interventional pain management procedures, which may include injections, nerve blocks, and other therapeutic interventions that alleviate pain and improve function.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies according to established protocols, ensuring patients understand their treatment options and adherence to medication plans.
• Monitor patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual responses and outcomes in alignment with established best practices.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and the importance of follow-up care to empower them in their treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accessible for continued patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves adult patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to back pain, arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Understanding the diverse backgrounds and unique experiences of our patients is critical, as you will be developing strong relationships and providing emotional support alongside medical treatment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in New York State, meeting all state regulatory requirements.
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on pain management or a closely related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding toward patients’ situations.

Preferred Experience

While a background in pain management is preferred, we value diverse experiences. Candidates with prior roles in related fields such as rehabilitation, anesthesiology, or orthopedics may also be considered. Experience with electronic health record systems and familiarity with pain management protocols will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We are pleased to offer a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
