Work Environment

This is an onsite position based in our Buffalo surgical center, where you will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a welcoming and structured environment. The work schedule consists of 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. You will directly engage with patients in a setting that values teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough physical exams and order necessary diagnostic tests to support patient diagnosis.
• Administer injections, including trigger point and joint injections, to alleviate patient pain.
• Prescribe medications and deliver effective pain management recommendations based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress closely, maintaining accurate records and adjusting treatment plans as required.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management techniques, treatment options, and overall health practices to ensure a thorough understanding of their condition.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, providing insights to enhance patient care processes.
• Document health conditions, prescribed treatments, and other essential patient information accurately.
• Maintain up-to-date records and schedules, ensuring all documentation adheres to healthcare regulations.
• Promote preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle changes among patients to foster overall well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients with chronic pain conditions, who may have undergone various surgical procedures or are seeking non-invasive treatment options. This role will require you to address both the physical and emotional aspects of pain management, striving to improve patients’ quality of life through individualized approaches that cater to their unique situations.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Preferred Experience

• A valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) certification.
• Must possess an active DEA and NPI number.
• Proven experience as a Physician Assistant in applicable healthcare settings, such as clinics, hospitals, or emergency departments.
• Prior experience in pain management or related fields is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of health regulations affecting patient care and clinical protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and clarity in all patient interactions.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, retirement savings options, and paid time off.
