We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join our surgical center team in Hamburg, New York. Work Environment

The ideal candidate will work full-time onsite, with a scheduled shift from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Friday. The surgical center operates in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and effective communication are essential. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, which may include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review medical histories for surgical patients to inform treatment decisions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies to diagnose conditions.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for acute and chronic health issues, including pre- and post-operative care.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and make necessary adjustments to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Maintain meticulous patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Provide education to patients and their families on disease management, preventive care strategies, and post-surgical instructions.
• Participate actively in daily rounds, contributing to the planning and coordination of care among the healthcare team.
• Promote evidence-based practices and patient-centered care to optimize patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients undergoing surgical procedures as well as those requiring follow-up care. You will engage with diverse patient demographics, allowing you to apply your expertise in family medicine to address various health concerns. A key part of your role will be to educate patients about their health conditions and empower them in their care journey, ensuring they receive compassionate and comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• A valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• At least two years of clinical experience in a family health clinic or surgical setting.
• Strong understanding of health regulations and patient care protocols.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience.
