Work Environment

This full-time position entails working onsite for 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday, with clinic hours extending until 5:00 PM. Our Surgical Center is designed to support both outpatient and surgical needs, creating a dynamic environment where varied healthcare cases are managed. You will work closely with a team of MDs and other NP professionals, making this an excellent opportunity for collaborative practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and obtaining detailed medical histories from patients.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to assess patient health effectively.
• Diagnosing health conditions and developing comprehensive treatment plans for both chronic and acute health issues.
• Prescribing necessary medications and educating patients regarding their prescriptions and potential side effects.
• Maintaining precise medical records and schedules to ensure efficient patient care processes.
• Informing patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive health practices.
• Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies through patient education and community outreach.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to research initiatives to enhance clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals from all walks of life in the Buffalo area. As a Physician Assistant in our Surgical Center, you will engage with patients facing a variety of health issues, ranging from routine health maintenance to acute medical concerns. Your role will not only be to treat illnesses but also to serve as a health educator, empowering patients to make informed health decisions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, or emergency care setting.
• Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• A current California State Physician Assistant license and certification (PA-C) are mandatory.
• A valid DEA number enabling you to prescribe medications.
• Strong ethical principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in primary care, acute care, or surgical settings is essential.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and clinical workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, full benefits are available, including:
