Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, which include taking detailed medical histories, performing physical examinations, and executing diagnostic evaluations to inform your treatment strategies.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address individual patient needs, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Assist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures specific to pain management, such as joint injections or trigger point injections, under the guidance and supervision of attending physicians.
• Provide thorough education to patients regarding their medical conditions, available treatment options, and necessary lifestyle modifications to enhance their health outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous medical records, ensuring all patient interactions, treatment modalities, and follow-up care are accurately documented for continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with post-surgical pain, chronic pain syndromes, and those in need of rehabilitative care. Your ability to connect with patients and address their concerns with empathy and expertise is essential for building trust and improving treatment adherence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a focus in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant, with adherence to all applicable regulations and professional standards.
• Demonstrated clinical skills and the ability to work independently while recognizing when to escalate care to supervising physicians.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster patient relationships and work efficiently within a team.
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered and compassionate care consistently.

Preferred Experience

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies is preferred.
• Previous experience in a pain management setting, or with related specialties, is highly valued.
