Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients experiencing pain, utilizing advanced diagnostic skills to determine appropriate treatment options and care plans.
• Collaborate with case management teams to prepare and implement effective discharge planning for patients, ensuring a smooth transition from hospital to home care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, recommending and participating in efforts to enhance the cost-effectiveness and overall quality of patient care.
• Act as a consulting provider by accepting referrals from other physicians and managing patients requiring hospitalization as per their medical needs and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to meet insurance guidelines, ensuring that all patient interactions, treatment plans, and care outcomes are recorded properly.
• Participate actively in patient consultations, both inpatient and outpatient, which may involve being part of an on-call schedule to provide after-hours care as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will involve patients seeking relief from chronic pain, injuries, and post-operative recovery issues. You will work with a diverse patient population, requiring a tailored approach to care that considers individual patient histories and treatment responses. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• An active Physician Assistant license to practice in New York State.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on pain management or a related specialty.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, facilitating clear exchanges with patients and the medical team.
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management or orthopedics is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

For this Physician Assistant position, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
