Work Environment

The PA will be working in a dynamic hospital environment where collaboration and teamwork are pivotal. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patient medical histories to develop accurate diagnoses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies, to guide treatment decisions.
• Formulate effective treatment plans for common health conditions, ensuring they are tailored to meet patients' unique needs.
• Prescribe medications and closely monitor patient responses, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Keep detailed and organized patient records while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families about managing health conditions and implementing preventive measures to improve health outcomes.
• Participate in daily rounds, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Encourage lifestyle changes and health practices that foster wellness and reduce the risk of disease.
• Stay informed about advancements in family medicine to provide evidence-based care to patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a diverse patient population encompassing a wide range of ages and health conditions. Your ability to build rapport with patients and understand their health concerns will be critical in ensuring they receive appropriate and timely care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required.
• Must currently hold certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York is necessary before starting the role.
• Two or more years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a hospital environment is highly preferred, as it contributes to a better understanding of complex patient care.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
