Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and care for patients dealing with chronic pain, employing advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities.
• Collaborate with the case management team to ensure effective discharge planning that addresses patients' individual needs upon leaving the hospital.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the cost-effectiveness of care while maintaining a high standard of patient service.
• Receive and evaluate referrals from other healthcare providers, acting in a consulting capacity for patients requiring hospitalization when indicated.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions that align with insurance requirements and efficiently manage any appeals of denials.
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may necessitate involvement in on-call schedules to accommodate patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adult patients experiencing complex pain disorders, as well as those recovering from various surgical procedures. Your role will be central to assessing patients with different backgrounds and treatment histories, enabling you to develop tailored care plans that address their diverse needs. Your expertise will play a critical role in helping patients manage their pain and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current, active Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in pain management or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and exceptional organizational capabilities.
• A dedicated work ethic with an emphasis on teamwork and performance within a healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive salary range of $150,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
