Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at VitalEdge PA, you will operate in a dynamic hospital setting, working closely with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient-centered care. Our team values collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning. You will work a standard 40-hour week from Monday to Friday, with your shifts concluding at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and establish individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and order necessary diagnostic tests to inform clinical decisions.
• Administer a variety of injections—including trigger point and joint injections—under strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Prescribe medications, create pain management regimens, and offer recommendations tailored to patient needs.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting outcomes and adjusting treatment plans based on evolving health needs.
• Educate patients and their families on effective pain management strategies, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records following all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings, exchanging insights and discussing comprehensive patient care strategies.
• Inform patients about their health statuses, treatment modalities, and prescribed medications.
• Engage in ongoing education regarding diseases, prevention strategies, and emerging trends in healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily centers on patients suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, many of whom may have complex medical histories. You will interact with diverse age groups, from young adults to the elderly, ensuring that every individual receives tailored, empathetic care. Your role will involve not only addressing pain management needs but also improving overall patient health outcomes through education and proactive care strategies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current and valid New York State Physician Assistant license.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Possession of a DEA and NPI number.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in a hospital or urgent care setting.
• Experience in pain management or related specialties is strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on patient education and collaborative teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a robust benefits package which includes health insurance, retirement plan contributions, paid time off, and a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 to eligible candidates.
