Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Surgical Center, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. With regular Monday to Friday work hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we offer a schedule that supports work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients and utilize advanced diagnostic techniques to formulate effective treatment plans for pain management.
• Collaborate with case management teams to develop discharge plans, ensuring smooth transitions for patients post-treatment.
• Engage in cost-effectiveness initiatives by recommending and implementing strategies that optimize patient care and resource allocation.
• Receive referrals from practicing physicians and act as a consulting provider for patients requiring hospitalization or specialized interventions.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain compliance with insurance documentation requirements, handling appeals for any denials promptly.
• Provide both inpatient and outpatient consultations, demonstrating versatility in managing a diverse array of pain conditions.
• Participate in on-call schedules as necessary, responding to urgent patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient focus will largely include individuals with chronic and acute pain conditions, ranging from post-surgical pain to complex pain syndromes. Understanding the specific challenges these patients face will be essential, enabling you to tailor your approach to their unique needs and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• An active Physician Assistant license in New York state is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a relevant role, ideally within pain management or a related specialty.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a cohesive healthcare team.
• A commitment to high standards of performance in a patient care-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with pain management procedures and familiarity with the latest pain management therapies and medications.
• Prior experience in an outpatient clinic or surgical setting will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
