Work Environment

This position is based entirely onsite at our modern hospital facility in Buffalo. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse range of pediatric patients, conducting thorough medical assessments and formulating personalized treatment plans based on individual medical histories.
• Collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless coordination of care and execution of treatment protocols.
• Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions, ranging from minor acute issues to chronic management.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and maintain detailed medical records, aligning with established protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide care during designated night shifts (8:00 pm to 5:00 am), delivering compassionate support to our patients, ensuring they feel comfortable and understood during their visits.
• Educate patients and their families about various conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare practices to empower them in achieving better health outcomes.
• Stay informed about emerging trends in pediatric care and engage with new initiatives to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
• Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in all practices, maintaining the highest level of professionalism expected within our organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our pediatric patients range from infants to adolescents, and the care provided is centered on understanding their unique healthcare needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, along with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of New York.
• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience working as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting, ideally within pediatrics.
• For candidates without an MSN, those with current Nurse Practitioner credentials obtained prior to the master's requirement will be considered if they possess the necessary clinical experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Sensitivity and understanding of the socio-economic factors affecting vulnerable populations.
• Adept at adapting to new protocols, healthcare trends, and initiatives quickly.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pediatric outpatient setting, with a focus on chronic disease management and preventive care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain up-to-date patient information.
• Previous experience working night shifts is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 110,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience.
