Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians to develop and implement individualized treatment strategies that address each patient's unique needs and goals.
• Administer injections, perform minor surgical procedures, and assist with pain management interventions under the guidance of attending physicians, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Provide thorough patient education regarding their medical conditions, treatment options, pain management techniques, and lifestyle modifications to empower individuals in their health journey.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care in a timely and accurate manner, utilizing our integrated electronic health record system to maintain continuity of care and facilitate patient tracking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on patients experiencing acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to postoperative pain, musculoskeletal disorders, and neuropathic pain. You will engage with a diverse patient population, providing compassionate care and the necessary support to enhance their quality of life. Building strong, trusting relationships with patients is fundamental to our approach, as we aim to treat the whole individual, not just their symptoms.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Demonstrated strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently within the scope of practice, applying clinical judgment effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a pain management setting or a similar specialty will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with the latest pain management techniques and pharmacological therapies is advantageous.
