As a Nurse Practitioner in our Pain Management clinic, you will collaborate closely with physicians, other healthcare providers, counselors, and support staff, all of whom share a common goal of enhancing patient healing and recovery. Your practice will be supported by robust administrative services, including scribe support, which allows you to focus on providing the highest quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with both acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and interventional pain procedures.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and advance directives.
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment experiences in our electronic health records (EHR).
• Engage in coordinated care with a multidisciplinary team, including referrals to specialists when required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to seniors, each dealing with varying degrees of pain conditions stemming from injuries, chronic illnesses, or post-surgical recovery. Our center is dedicated to creating tailored solutions that prioritize the unique needs and preferences of our patients, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their treatment journey.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing and active certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Must possess a valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license, with current certifications in pain management preferred.
• Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (BCLS and ACLS) certification is required.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in pain management or a similar clinical setting, working directly with patients managing chronic pain conditions.
• Proven track record in treatment planning and engagement in multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable.
