Position Overview

Redwood Medical Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This full-time position, based onsite in a school setting in beautiful Niagara Falls, New York, offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually. The Nurse Practitioner will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing essential healthcare services to our diverse pediatric and adolescent patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including school counselors, parents, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and facilitate appropriate referrals.
• Conduct thorough health assessments through detailed history-taking and physical examinations, leading to accurate diagnoses and tailored treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood work or imaging, and prescribe medications in accordance with best practices and within the NP's scope of practice.
• Implement therapeutic procedures and interventions as necessary, ensuring patient safety and comfort during all treatments.
• Educate students and their families about health promotion strategies, disease prevention, and the management of chronic health conditions, enabling them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records, adhering to regulatory standards to ensure privacy and continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives aiming to enhance patient care delivery and clinical outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary patient population will include children and adolescents within the school system, along with their families. Understanding the specific needs of this demographic is central to your role. You will provide healthcare ranging from routine check-ups to managing chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes, thus contributing positively to students' daily lives and academic performance.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, particularly in pediatric care.
• Certification in a recognized Nurse Practitioner specialty area, such as Family or Pediatrics.
• Exceptional clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient at adapting to a fast-paced healthcare environment while remaining focused on patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience
