Work Environment

This position is located onsite in our state-of-the-art hospital facility in the scenic Niagara Falls, NY. Our medical center is equipped with the latest healthcare technologies and resources, allowing for efficient patient assessments and comprehensive treatments. Working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• As a Primary Care Provider, you will deliver comprehensive healthcare services to individuals of all ages within a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations, detailed health assessments, and order necessary tests to provide accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic medical conditions, tailoring treatment plans to individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications, ensuring adherence to best practices in pharmacotherapy and patient safety.
• Educate patients about preventative care strategies and promote healthy lifestyle changes to enhance overall quality of life.
• Work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and specialists to develop and implement effective care plans.
• Oversee patient management processes, including making referrals to specialists and scheduling follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction while staying current with evolving medical practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Physician Assistant license in New York State.
• PA-C (Physician Assistant-Certified) credentials are required.
• A current DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration is necessary to prescribe medications.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; however, a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, though this is not a mandatory requirement.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year’s experience as a Physician Assistant is required, particularly in an internal medicine or primary care setting. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and understanding of best practices in patient management would be advantageous.
