As a nurse practitioner in our school health facility, you will be at the forefront of delivering healthcare services to students and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent, high-quality healthcare services to patients, aligned with national and local healthcare standards.
• Engage in the development and optimization of office practices, working closely with administrative staff to enhance efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between practice management and hospital administration, ensuring clear communication regarding practice operations and patient care standards.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Provide comprehensive patient management by assessing individual healthcare needs and creating a care plan that reflects the goals of the practice and health system.

• Support the organization in achieving its strategic goals through effective clinical practice and collaboration.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with students and their families, addressing a wide range of health concerns from routine wellness checks to chronic disease management. You will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the health outcomes of children and adolescents, tailoring your approach to meet diverse age-specific needs while ensuring every patient receives appropriate and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current certification/registration as a Family, Adult, or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• AANP Board Certification and a valid DEA license are required.
• Familiarity with ICD10 coding is preferred.
• A strong understanding of outpatient clinical medicine, with the capability to interpret patient data and address age-specific concerns effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and hospital leadership, promoting a unified approach to patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred but not mandatory.
