Work Environment

This position is onsite at our surgical center, where you will work alongside a passionate team of healthcare professionals including surgeons, nurses, and fellow physician assistants. You will be immersed in an environment that prioritizes patient-centered care while maintaining operational excellence. Our work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while meeting the healthcare needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities

• As a trusted Primary Care Provider, you will conduct comprehensive physical exams and thorough health assessments for a diverse patient population.
• Diagnose and treat both acute and chronic illnesses, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on disease prevention strategies and promote healthy lifestyle choices, empowering individuals to take charge of their health.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across disciplines to devise integrated treatment plans that address all aspects of patient care.
• Manage ongoing patient care, facilitating referrals to specialists as needed and ensuring follow-up appointments are scheduled and conducted.
• Maintain meticulous medical records, complying with regulatory standards and ensuring accurate documentation of patient interactions.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and experience.
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in internal medicine and healthcare practices to provide the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in internal medicine.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a surgical center or a primary care setting is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
