Work Environment

You will work onsite at our bustling hospital located in the heart of Niagara Falls. Throughout the normal workweek, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you will experience a dynamic and collaborative setting. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to assist in diagnostics and patient care. Your work environment will provide the necessary resources to facilitate precise evaluations and timely healthcare interventions, supporting your role in managing multiple patient cases effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Primary Care Provider, delivering comprehensive healthcare services to patients across a wide spectrum of ages and medical needs.
• Conduct thorough physical examinations and health assessments to determine patient health status.
• Diagnose both acute and chronic illnesses, crafting individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Prescribe necessary medications and therapies, adhering to best practices in medication management and patient safety.
• Educate patients on preventative health measures and promote healthy lifestyle choices to enhance their long-term health.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and specialists, to develop effective treatment pathways and ensure seamless care coordination.
• Oversee patient care management, including making referrals to specialists and planning follow-up appointments to monitor progress.
• Maintain meticulous medical documentation and records in line with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
• Take part in quality improvement initiatives and participate in patient satisfaction surveys to continuously enhance service delivery.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in medicine through ongoing education and engagement with professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes individuals of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric care. You will encounter a diverse array of health conditions, allowing you to apply your expertise in various domains within internal medicine. Understanding the nuances of patient care across different demographics is crucial as you will play a key role in improving their health outcomes through tailored treatment and education.

Qualifications

• Valid Physician Assistant license for New York State, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Possess a current DEA registration number for prescribing medications.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, although this is not a prerequisite.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant is required, candidates with extensive knowledge in internal medicine or those who have worked in a similar hospital setting will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, as well as experience in managing a high patient volume, will be beneficial to your application. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in delivering effective patient education and teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits
