Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite in our assisted living facility, a nurturing environment designed to support the ongoing health and care of pediatric patients. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, this role involves interactions with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure holistic treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose health conditions, and formulate individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a supervising physician.
• Provide direct medical care, including physical examinations, immunizations, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses.
• Deliver education and support to patients and their families to foster understanding and encourage engagement in their health management.
• Review and interpret diagnostic tests and develop appropriate management plans based on findings.
• Actively participate in care team meetings to discuss patient progress and optimize therapeutic interventions.
• Uphold patient safety and quality by adhering to clinical standards, hospital policies, and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices and clinical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the pediatric population residing in our assisted living facility. You will encounter a diverse range of patients, including those with complex medical needs and varying socio-economic backgrounds. By providing specialized care tailored to the unique circumstances of each patient, you will help improve their overall health outcomes while addressing their psychological, emotional, and social well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• A Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Valid licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida.
• Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of recent, relevant nursing experience, particularly within pediatric care.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling diverse pediatric health issues.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
