Position Overview

Skill Stride Nurse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our dynamic team in Cape Coral, Florida. This full-time role requires a clinical expert in pediatric care who is passionate about enhancing the health and well-being of children and families. As a PNP, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical services in home care settings under the supervision of a Physician.

Work Environment

This position is onsite, primarily situated in the comfort of patients' homes, allowing you to deliver personalized care in a familiar environment. You will have a supportive team of healthcare professionals while working autonomously to make vital decisions regarding patient care. Our work hours are generally set from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with some flexibility for evenings and Saturdays as needed to meet patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and evaluations for pediatric patients of all ages.
• Administer and oversee immunizations and other preventive health measures.
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and injuries, ensuring timely and effective management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work, to inform treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage ongoing medication therapy as part of a holistic treatment approach.
• Provide education and counseling to families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and nutrition.
• Perform routine physical examinations, including growth and development assessments, vision and hearing screenings.
• Engage in proactive communication with families regarding their children’s health and wellness.
• If designated as a floater, travel between various company sites as required to ensure continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in our home care service, you will work primarily with children, ensuring each young patient receives individualized attention. We serve a diverse population, including infants, children, and adolescents, addressing a wide range of healthcare needs. Your expertise in pediatric care will be vital in guiding these young patients and their families toward optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master's degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, with familiarity in medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
• Must maintain current certifications and provide verification upon request.

Preferred Experience

• At least five years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in pediatrics.
• Experience in home care or outpatient services is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work positively and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $126,000 to $150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
