This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you can provide seamless therapy to clients from the comfort of your own space. Our operational hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential for evening shifts based on client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their individual treatment needs and establish goals tied to their recovery journey.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

• Facilitate engaging individual counseling sessions that encourage clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related to substance use.

• Lead group therapy sessions that promote camaraderie and group support, addressing the shared experiences of addiction recovery.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to integrate care strategies conducive to client recovery.

• Provide crisis intervention services and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, guiding clients safely through acute situations.

• Educate clients and their families about addiction, offering practical recovery strategies and resources to support their journey beyond therapy.

• Maintain precise, confidential records and documentation, complying with legal and ethical guidelines, and contributing to effective data management in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Actively participate in professional development activities, team meetings, and case discussions to continually enhance clinical practice.

• Stay informed of current research, best practices, and developments within the field of substance use disorder treatment to ensure optimal client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients serviced by Carson Counseling Center primarily include adults dealing with substance use disorders. Our clients often face concurrent challenges, including mental health issues, trauma history, and socioeconomic barriers. The therapist will work collaboratively with these individuals, leveraging therapeutic methods tailored to their unique experiences and needs, ultimately fostering recovery and enhancing overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders, recovery-oriented practices, and evidence-based treatment strategies.

• Previous experience conducting individual and group therapy focused on addiction recovery.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients and their families.

• Strong adherence to ethical guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n
