Sign Language Interpreter | Waukegan, Illinois
K–12 • School-Based Contract
Help Deaf and Hard of Hearing students access learning and connect with their school community through Navra.

The Opportunity
Dates: ASAP–EOSY
Schedule: Part-time and full-time availabilities will be considered
Caseload Details: K-12th grade caseloads available
What You’ll Do
Interpret classroom instruction and school activities for DHH students.
Facilitate communication with teachers, staff and peers.
Collaborate with school teams while maintaining confidentiality and professional interpreting practices.
What You’ll Need
ISBE educational interpreting approval with an EIPA score of 3.5+, or provisional approval with a score of 3.0–3.4
Appropriate Illinois approval/licensure for school-based interpreting
U.S. work authorization without sponsorship
School experience preferred; new graduates with appropriate credentials may be considered
